Cutest Little Owl

Today's featured free pattern is from the Coats and Clark company.
I love little owls, but many of the patterns I've seen aren't quite what I'm looking for until I found this cutie. It's got the sweetest round head and with a little change of colors would be an absolutely darling penguin.

When looking for patterns, it helps to go a little color blind. By changing the colors mentally of the photos, you might discover the pattern you've been overlooking because of the neon colored yarn used by the pattern writer is the perfect pattern for your muted brown yarn.

If you have trouble overlooking the color, one tip is to copy the image and change it to greyscale in a photo editing program.
