So many Octopi!

You may have noticed I haven't been updating on a near daily basis and appear to have completely abandoned my Twitter account. Aside from busying away with a convention in November, stocking up for Christmas and of course the 31 Amigurumi in October, I also have been working on a large wholesale order from Kelly of Kelly's Keychains. She ordered some amigurumi versions of her octopus characters.

I absolutely loved this photo of them all lined up and just had to share.

Custom Order Corner

Oops! I missed making this weekly post last week, so here we are! These are the pieces I made last week as custom orders.

First, some remakes from my 31 Amigurumi in October series. It's always fun to revisit designs.

Grim Reaper Moon Bun and Vampire Moon Bun

Betelgeuse Moon Bun and Hannibal Lecter Moon Bun

Dr. Salvador Moon Bun

This great little bun is designed to look like a character from the anime Gundam.

Also, I had another customer request a Jiang Shi Moon Bun, sometimes called Chinese Vampires.

This Moon Bun was designed to look like Rhyme from "The World Ends With You"

Expect another custom order corner tomorrow showing of the pieces I made this past week!

Plush You!

With Plush You! in Seattle, I took my inspiration from my visit last year. Plush You! is held at Schmancy, very close to the amazing Pike Place Market. While browsing this fantastic market, I was thrilled with all of the fresh produce. I thought, how delightful it would be to discover little Moon Buns hiding amongst the vegetables.

"Carrots?"
This set of 3, includes 2 cute carrots and one little Moon Bun in a carrot costume. The Moon Bun's hood is fully removable.

"Corn?"
This is a set of 3 with a snazzy crate. The ears of corn and the Moon Bun are fully removable from their husks.

"Cabbage Baby"
After making the Newborn Moon Buns, everyone wanted to know where Moon Buns come from. Moon Buns are born from cabbages that grown in the land of Moon, so for the show, I absolutely had to make a Newborn Moon Bun in it's little cabbage bed.

I'm so sad that I won't be able to make an appearance at this year's Plush You! show, but I hope everyone who goes will have a fantastic time and take lots of photos.

All of these pieces will be available through Schmancy for the Plush You! show on October 8th!

Here comes the Bride!

Cheryl, used a pair of Bride and Groom Moon Buns as a cake topper for her wedding cake! She was so kind as to send these fantastic photos.

That cake is absolutely beautiful on its own, but those little Moon Buns! So cute!

Aww!

Congratulations on your recent marriage, Cheryl!

Buns Don't Cry

This is a piece I entered into a plush Battle of the Bands held by Schmancy. Rather than display an entire band, I chose to recreate the cover of the "Boys Don't Cry" single.
I love Robert Smith and the Cure, so this Moon Bun is staying home with me.
