Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival

What's this? Two posts in one day?

Saturday, I'll be attending Maryland's Sheep and Wool Festival http://sheepandwool.org, which I know some of my followers and friends will be there as well.

So... Why not make a game of it? Throughout Saturday, I'll tweet my location and if anyone finds me, I'll give them a free gift! That easy! I hope to meet you there!

Where in the world?

Hey guys! I bet you've been wondering where I disappeared to, well... I've been steady busy since January. Though not all of that has been work related. My little girl, Swipey, has proven to be a handful, so escaping to sit on the computer and blog has been difficult. I've finally embraced the fact that if I ever want to blog again it will have to be on a mobile device.

So here I am, testing out the blogger app. So far so good.

If all goes well, I will now be around a lot more, thanks for all your love and support!

Made to Order

Over the month of January, new “Made to Order” listings will be appearing at Moon’s Creations. These are designs which I have made in the past.

Previously, I have kept a large stock of dolls on hand. This has become a huge time sink for me as I’ve increased my inventory. Spending so much of my time restocking dolls, which may or may not sell, has kept me from stocking fun designs I have wished to revisit. I want to change this in the new year.

Productivity will greatly benefit from this change, because I’ll have more time to devote on dolls people truly want and not dolls I think people will like. In addition, this move will free up studio time to create entirely new dolls.

“Made to Order” dolls will take 1 to 2 weeks to ship. Because these dolls will be made as they are ordered, I will be able to offer small custom  changes, such as yarn color. Orders placed containing stock and “Made to Order” items will ship together to save on shipping fees.

Here’s to a fantastic New Year and lots of new Moon Buns!

After Thanksgiving Sales Announcement: 1

Lucky Bags! (or Fukubukuro)
Going on sale at Moon’s Creations this Thursday at 8pm EST, these special lucky bags will be made available. They will contain 3-4 assorted dolls, buttons, necklaces, charms, stickers, and items not yet added to the store! The price of these items alone would be well worth over $70, but will be sold for only $50! Quantities are very limited.

Because I want to put as many goodies as possible in the bags, Moon’s Creations will close from 8pm on Wednesday through 8pm on Thursday so I can prepare the bags. I will post here as soon as the shop re-opens.

Stay tuned for more sales announcements!

Staggering into the 13 Buns of Halloween series, it's a Zombie Moon Bun! He'd be happy to eat your brains for you, but he'd be happy to trade you for a turtle. He just really likes turtles.

Just one more day left of the 13 Buns of Halloween. I hope you've enjoyed the series!

13 Buns of Halloween - Owl Moon Bun

https://www.etsy.com/listing/208400391/owl-moon-bun-amigurumi-bunny-rabbit-doll
Whoo! Whoooooo! Who is this little Owl Moon Bun knocking at my door?
I think this might be my most favorite so far. Don't get me wrong, I've absolutely loved each doll I've made for the 13 Buns of Halloween, but I think this one's my favorite. I don't think I'd be sad if this one doesn't sell.
Do you ever keep any of your artwork?
I usually don't. In fact, I only own 2 Moon Buns. A Robert Smith-inspired Moon Bun and an Azuki-Arai Moon Bun.  I couldn't find it in my heart to separate myself from them. Although in fairness, I did offer the Azuki-Arai for sale and celebrated internally when no one bought him. haha!
