The Moon Buns at Disneyland!

Kaylie went on a trip to Disneyland in February and was sweet enough to bring some Moon Bun pals for the trip. She snapped these adorable photos of the Moon Buns living it up at Disney!

I find the Disney characters holding the Moon Buns particularly hilarious.

Moon Buns in a warm Racoon-y embrace.

Would you say the trip was two "buns" up? *snickers wildly*

I'm loving the look of these photos on the Monorail. They look so spacey.

Thank you Kaylie for these amazing photos. I was completely bowled over by them.
I often reflect on how I have some of the most amazing fans on the planet. You are all such blessings in my life.
Thank you for being Rockstars!

Duncan Update!

Duncan would like to say "hello" to everyone. As promised, he will be making periodic appearances on the Moon's Creations blog.

Duncan enjoys watching tv. Although I'm not sure, Duncan, this program may be too mature for you.

Duncan is a wiggly-goose and loves running around the house and being a terror, but he also likes snuggling up with a Snuggie.
He's a good boy.

Where to meet the Maker?

Thanks to some friendly ninjas, I will be at the following conventions and shows with a load of little Moon Buns:

♥ Anime Boston, Boston (April 2 - 4, 2010)
♥ Anime Central, Chicago (May 14 - 16, 2010)
♥ Maker Faire, San Mateo (May 22 - 23, 2010)
♥ Otakon, Baltimore (July 30 - August 1, 2010)

There is also the very good chance I'll be at Nekocon as well.
I hope I'll be able to see several of you there. :)

Ok, I'd better get back to working on stocking up for these shows.

Plush Olympics, brought to you by Schmancy

Kristen of Schmancy and the leading force behind the Plush You shows encouraged artists to take part in the Schmancy Olympic Challenge, where we were randomly given a sport and told to "have at it."

My sport was Skiing and the Moon Buns love nothing more than skiing. This little racer is a down hill skier. The Beavers adore the Olympics, and though not athletic, they still enjoy cheering the competitors on.

"I just love the Olympics!"
"Me too!"

"Here comes another Moon Bun!"

"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay"
"Jingle Jingle Jingle"

"Wow, he was really fast!"

"That was a lot of cheering."
"I think some hot chocolate is in order."

Happy New Year!

Welcome Tiger year!
I hope that this coming year brings everyone luck and good health.

Mardi Gras Moon Buns

These three little Moon Buns are very excited about Mardi Gras.

Too hot for TV!
Moon Buns really like Beads.

The limited Mardi Gras Moon Buns are in the shop now!

Duncan Update!

Duncan has been slowly getting used to our little family . Every night he gets "run around time" where we lock up the carnivores and place Duncan's cage on the floor for him to come and go as he pleases and get some exercise.

Here is is by his cage. Sorry it's so small. I had to crop out the horrible mess that is my living room.

Duncan is a little piggy and loves getting treats. My husband had to stand in as treat giver while we tried to catch photos.

I would have so many more photos, because he's so friendly and sweet, but this is how most of our photos come out. He's not very good at posing. Going back through his photos, it looks like our house is haunted by a brown blur.

Have a great weekend, Everyone!

Where has the week gone?

I seem to ask myself this question every Thursday.
What happened to the week?

At Moon's Creations, we're looking at another blizzard intensity storm this weekend, so I'll have plenty of time in the Bunny Mines. (When am I going to have a weekend without snow?)

What am I working on, you ask?
Well, as you may have heard, I've got two shows this spring, so I'm busy stocking up plenty of little Moon Buns for the show.

But what about the shop?

Here are a few hints about the upcoming designs:

It's Groundhogs Day!

Today, Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow. This means we'll be having 6 more weeks of winters. Boo hiss!

But what does that mean? Why is a groundhog giving weather forecasts? And for those of you outside of the US and Canada, why the hub-bub over a large rodent?

Groundhog's Day is held on Febuary 2 in the United States and Canada.

One of the more famous locations for this celebration is the small city of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Their groundhog is named Punxsutawney Phil and has a lady groundhog friend by the name of Punxsutawney Phyllis.

It's said that if a groundhog sees its shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. But if it doesn't see its shadow, there will be an early spring. The origins of this tradition are unclear, but it may have originated from Europe.

Read more about Groundhog's Day.

Personally, I love Groundhog's Day. I like to get up early each year and watch the news cast of Phil's prediction. Growing up, my mother worked with a woman who was from Punxsutawney. She would send postcards and what-nots home with my mother about Phil and Phyllis. Being a lover of all things furry and cute, I was hooked. It was because of my mother's coworker, I decided to make a groundhog design this year.
(Everyone thank Janice!)
The only improvement upon Groundhog's Day, I can see, is more delicious goodies, because a holiday is not a holiday without delicious goodies.
What goodies do you think we should have for Groundhog's Day?
