Octo-Buns

In the depths of the ocean hide the mythical Octo-bun, distant relative to the Moon Bun.
Octo-buns are identified with their perky bunny ears and eight squiggly legs. They prefer warm waters and live on a diet of strawberry cake and vanilla milkshakes. 

The color choices of the most recent Octo-Buns were suggested by my fans on Facebook!

Price Increase

Hello Moon Bun Fans,

Due to the continuing increase in the cost of supplies, Moon's Creations will be seeing a $1 increase in our basic, baby-sized and special Moon Buns. This price increase will go into effect on September 1, 2011.

Movin' right along!

Still slowly recovering from after convention illness and exhaustion, but I'm doing better. 

Last week, I sat down in the Bunny Mines and just sat. I had no desire to even touch my hooks. The idea of touching amigurumi was just detestable after the months of constant crocheting in preparation for the show. 

 

Instead, I picked up my knitting needles. Many of you may not know, but I'm originally a knitter. It's a hobby I truly love and it was so relaxing just to fall into it. I've been making a few reusable shopping bags, for personal use, because I'm sick to the teeth of plastic bags in my house. 

Now that I feel fully recovered and back in love with amigurumi, I've been photographing pieces to be listed, creating some new designs, and working on some exciting plans for October. *wink*wink* 

So what do you do when you've fallen into a funk or over-done it with a passion?

July's Moon Bun of the Month, Hawaii!

The seventh stop during the Moon Bun's world tour is Hawaii!

This island paradise is the 50th state in the United States and the Moon Buns have been getting their tans while learning to hula.

The only Canada Moon Bun available to the general public is available now!

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by at Otakon! It was so wonderful meeting so many kind, sweet fans and hopefully new fans! Right now the Moon Buns and I are getting some much needed rest after long hours, short sleeps and picking up a bit of a cold.

Once we recover, I'll be adding new items to the shop, including July's Moon Bun of the Month, who missed her release date, due to the shop being closed.

Otakon Preview

While bringing many traditional designs to Otakon, I'll also have a number of newer designs that I have yet to share with you. Here is a preview of what Moon's Creations will offer:

I've always wanted to make wristlets, and when I saw Nyan Cat, I just had to try it out. 

   

 Redesigned Moon Men!

The Moon Men have received a face-lift and ready for you to customize. 

 After making a Corn Moon Bun, why not a Banana Moon Bun? 

This little Moon Bun and Nanner are fully removable from their peels. 

 Fans of Futurama, may recognize this little Brain Slug!

 I've incorporated a hair clip for easy attachment, so you too can become a slave to the Brain Slugs!

 Truth be told, I'm a big fan of Doctor Who. So I had to make some Daleks!

Shop Closing!

Moon's Creations will be closing at 7pm EDT on 14 July through 1 August, while I busily prepare for the last push before Otakon.
