Custom Order Corner

Here are the group of custom Moon Buns I made this past week. These were specially commissioned for customers per their request. If you're interested in ordering a custom Moon Bun, please contact me!

A fun revisit of some of the designs from 31 Amigurumi in October 2008!
Damien, Children from Village of the Damned and Billy from Saw!

Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama!
Since uploading this photo, I've had many people complain he doesn't have the tentacles. He does! Red is just horrid for photographing. There are 4 small tentacles.

Phil Ken Sebben from Harvey Birdman on Adult Swim.

Sherlock Holmes Moon Bun! This little hat nearly drove me out of my mind. But in the end, I'm so proud of it.

A friend shared this video with me and I just had to share it in return. An absolutely mesmerizing video of the 'Kuroshio Sea' at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan.

Is there a way to remove the oil?

The leak from the gulf oil well is still spewing oil and it's looking pretty hopeless as oil has begun to wash up onto the beaches of the gulf states. So when I received a link from Monterey Mills, a fabric company who donated materials to the Plush Team at Maker Faire, I was blown away.

Watch this video of how an amazing fiber sucks the oil right out of the water!

Custom Order Corner

Since opening up my Commission and Custom Order status, I realized many of you miss out on the adorably fun designs I make, since I usually just send a photo to the future owner.

So, I thought what fun it would be to share photos of the designs I complete each week!

Ninja Moon Bun armed with Toast
(This commission made me giggle I love the idea of using a piece of toast as a weapon)

(cute little fanart pieces from the video game)

Copper Squirrelie and a Kraken Moon Bun
(It's always fun to revisit old designs!)

These were the pieces I completed last week! I'll upload the ones I'm working on now, next week!

Pair o' Hares - Wedding, Anniversary or Anytime Greeting Card by FuzzyMug

Inspired by summer love and the recent engagement of one of my most favorite clients, I am working on some darling customizable Bride and Groom Moon Bun cake-toppers!

The proto-types are so adorable, I had to spill the beans a little early (even before photos have been taken!) Also I couldn't say "no" to highlighting the beautiful card by FuzzyMug. (Really! Go check out her shop!)

Expect to see the little Brides and Grooms walk down the aisle to Moon's Creations very soon!

Things That Make Me Smile

The Crumpled Paper that is my Life by Miami Cyn

There is nothing better than balling it up a piece of paper (maybe containing a regrettable love letter from middle school or a sketch that just looks ridiculous) and tossing it away. It's renewing! With this simple act, I feel like I've totally destroyed the past mistakes and am filled with a sense of new beginnings.

For two years, I haven't had the opportunity to take part in my person catharsis. Due to one little culprit, Winston.

If you've followed this blog, you may have seen a photo or two of Winston appear. He is my darling little rescue with a personality of pure naughty and sweetness. An orange and white devil with a love for me and all things paper.

it offends him by mooncalfness

To keep him from marauding our recycling bin, we must place all papers flat. Even a folded sheet of paper becomes kitty gold. However today, I risked it! I balled up a piece of paper and tossed it into the bin.
Hooray for new beginnings!

Please note, five minutes later, I had to chase him through the house to retrieve the paper ball, but it was worth it.
