What do Moon Buns do in Japan?

They party!
Whooo!
Moons and San-San decided to start their trip to Japan right with beer and fishy snacks.

In the morning they went to see Fushimi Inari Taisha, where they have thousands of brightly colored tori. Can you see Moons and San-San posing by the Kistune?

Then they decided to go to Nijo Castle. Moons was surprised to discover that nightingale floors weren't just squeaky floorboards, but they actually sang and chirped like birds.

The gardens around Nijo castle are very beautiful. Moons was sad that it was winter and there were no flowers blooming.

There was also a moat filled with giant carp. Moons was naughty and teased the fish. They came to the surface and made gwaping faces at her and then she felt bad.

This photo was taken from the wall surrounding Nijo castle. If you look into the distance, you can see the Kyoto. It was a very beautiful day.

The next stop was Kiyomizu-dera. It's said that if you drink the water from this temple, you will gain wisdom, health, and longevity. Moons couldn't help but take a sip.

At Okunoin, on top of Mt. Koya, we got to see many famous graves. Unfortunately it was so snowy, it was hard to know who's grave we were looking at.

But all that walking in the snow made us sick. Luckily they have lots of lemon drinks in the vending machines and we bought the cutest box of kitty tissues.

Because we were so sick, Moons and I had to stay inside and miss some sights, but who wouldn't enjoy staying in this tatami room with the sniffles?

But soon we were feeling better and on the road again.
Moons loves Mt. Fuji!

Welcome to Japan

Hello Mina-san! I've just taken off on my flight to Japan. Look at all those clouds and sun. Beautiful. But such a long flight!
On All Nippon Airlines, they give you delicious snacks and beverages during the flight. Yummy!
San-san decided to start a journal of our adventures on her fancy electronic dictionary!
Figuring out Japanese money was really hard at the beginning.

My first morning in Japan! I wonder what I'll see?

The US Government and the State of Plush

Please see this link and this link regarding how the United States Government is planning to protect children from toys.

Not to say I don't agree with protecting children from mass-produced, plastic, singing/dancing/mind numbing monstrosities called "toys," but these plans will effect all toys on the market including the ones that I and many other talented artists create.

If you have the time please sign this petition or better yet contact your representative and senator.

Awww SLC Studios is the best!

Over at the Plush team, we had a plush gift exchange and then were challenged to write up a story for the items we received. SLC Studios made the abso-most cutest little comic with the gifts I sent her.

I'm working on Mr. Moons to get a new tree for the holidays. I want something bigger than 3 feet to show off my super awesome ornaments. Expect more Plush Team posts as soon as I can get a sunny day to photograph. :)

6 Random Things

The wonderful Chicken Pants creator, Absolutely Small, tagged me to list 6 random things about me. Since I'm slightly ahead of my work schedule, I'm going to fill these out.

1. I'm not done holiday crafting at all. :( Next year, I'm going to start in September! Ugh the stress. The stress!

2. I'm a big time World or Warcraft nerd. I'd play it more, but I'm always a slave to my Moon Bun masters. My main is a Blood Elf Warlock. For the Horde!

3. I collect holiday music cd's. My favorite is A Christmas Together by John Denver and the Muppets.

4. I majored in Creative Writing and specialized in writing scripts for comic books. Sadly, the only thing I've had published is pornography. (No! I'm not telling you what it was, you'll just have to do some super sleuthing.) I'd love to have my children's comics published one day.

5. I hate taking photos. I'm the most un-photogenic person on the planet, so you will likely never see a photo of me, ever. I just don't take them.

6. I think laundry is the most tedious chore of all. There's so much waiting for things to get done. I'd prefer to scrub things anything to keep moving, but with laundry, patience is a must.

And now for the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Tagging ... er... um... I don't really know of any other bloggers. :(
