Tis the Holiday Season

I've been working busily away and trying to keep up with commissions and orders. I had a wonderful event, where Moon's Creations (http://moonscreations.etsy.com) sold completely out. There was only two items left in the store.

We'll I've been trying to restock since then. Here are two new designs:

This is Scrooge and Tiny Tim. I love making playsets and hope to add the Three Ghosts of Christmas this weekend!

These are a limited number of Angel Moon Buns. The come with either silver wings or pearly wings.

Hopefully I'll be adding more soon!

Moon's Creations is NOT closed!

Just a little update. My store is not closed and will not be closing in the near future. I recently had a very large purchase that wiped out the entire store. I'm working on new products and hope to have some stock within the next week.

Thank you and I hope your December is going well!

Brown Squirrelie

Be warned! The squirrelies are back.

This is honestly my hardest product to keep in stock, so it always ends up being the one I get burnt out on fast.

Does anyone else get burnt out on a design? I'm thinking of limiting these guys' release to once every 6 months, so I can recharge on creative juices.

As always, simple is best!

Happy Halloween!

Yay! We finally made it through a solid month of amigurumi! Whew! Can I take a nap now?

I love this amigurumi. I seriously love him. I'm going to have to make one for myself, because oh so cute. I love how much personality is in his design.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to watch the series progress! *sends love*

Autumn Leaf Moon Bun

This is a very posh little girl Moon Bun. She's the counterpart to Acorn Moon Bun, but if you notice she has the more delicate features of a lady.

Wow! I can't believe tomorrow is Halloween! Thank you to everyone who has followed me this far!

Zombie Moon Bun 2 and Acorn Moon Bun

This was the design for Sunday, October 28th. I had planned on getting everything moved in over Saturday, but there's still so much left. I guess I was a little ambitious with how much I could do in one day. I'm sorry for not listing this guy earlier.

Today's design is a little rambunctious Moon Bun dressed for jumping in piles of leaves. It just so happens his little hat and scarf make him look rather acorn-ish.

Headless Moon Bun and Godzilla Moon Bun

ahhh! The horror! A Headless Moon Bun!!

Bonus! I won't be able to get online tomorrow, so you get two Moon Buns in one day!

Rawr! Rawr! It's Godzilla Moon Bun with a removable cap!

On personal note, I finally got my house and will be moving in over the weekend! :D Yay! Yay!

Mad Scientist and Assistant Moon Bun

It's realy hard to make a mad scientist look like a mad scientist when your mad scientist doesn't have arms. XD

Happy October 25th! We're almost at the end! I'm so excited. I've had so much fun with this series. Thanks to everyone who has watched it's progress,

Pink Ghost Moon Bun & New Design!

Oh no! It looks like this Moon Bun's momma washed his costume with a red sock! Will Halloween be ruined?

Who's afraid of a little pink ghost?

Introducing a new design! Baby Moon Buns! They stand at only 3" tall from rump to ear tips! Very tiny and very cute!

Moon Bun from the Black Lagoon

Happy October 23rd!

Life have been incredibly stressful lately. I'm just ready for this move to be over and done with. I've worked on several new designs that I can't wait to share, but unfortunately, it's raining all week, so I won't be able to take any photos for a while.

Bat Moon BUn

This Moon Bun was inspired by my 3rd Halloween. I wanted to be a bat! I had a little wings and plush little ears. I rocked! (lol) Halloween has such good memories.

Have you picked out your costume yet? Only a few more days left!

Candy Corn Moon Bun

Happy October 21st!

A friend suggested that I try to make a candy corn themed Moon Bun. I feel like I failed at capturing the con-y nature of the treat.

Pumpkin Head Moon Bun

Happy October 20th! Today's design is Pumpkin Head Moon Bun!

No, not the scary demon from the movies, but instead a mysterious Moon Bun prankster with a Pumpkin for a disquise. Perhaps he will chase down the cowardly Icabod Crane or rise from the pumpkin patches as the Great Pumpkin!

I can't believe we only have 11 more days left in the series. I guess, I'll have to work on items for the holidays now. Oh but wait till you see them. I think I may release one of the new designs early!

Jason Moon Bun

I had drawn up 28 designs for my 31 Amigurumi for October and was stuck. I called to my friends for help and it was my editor who suggested a Jason Moon Bun. Well that had me giggling all over to think of a Moon Bun armed with a chain saw.

Happy October 19th!

Dread Cthulhu Moon Bun

Take fear mortal as you look upon the Dread Cthulhu Moon Bun.

He is number 18 in my 31 Amigurumi for October series!

Spider Moon Bun

Happy October 17th! Wow, we're really moving right along with these guys!

Bride of Frankenstein Moon Bun

Happy October 14th! It's Frank's main squeeze!

Aww look how happy they are together!

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Frankenstein Moon Bun

Happy October 13th!

Not much to say today, a little on the busy side. Frank's pretty depressed too, that's why he's wearing a heart on his shirt. He's a kindly monster after all.

Werewolf Moon Bun

Look at that little face! So sad. I love this little Moon Bun. (And yes I am a fan of Remus.)

Happy October 12th guys! <3

Devilish Moon Bun

Happy October 11th!

Arrrgh! Happy October 9th! We're still working through the 31 Amigurumi for October. Today's little pirate has been floating in my mind for a long time and I'm happy to finally see it done.

Ninja Moon Bun

Happy October 8th!

Is it a real ninja? No, just a little Moon Bun dressed up for trick or treating.

Sunday, October 7, 2007

Mummy Moon Bun

Happy October 7th! Still truckin' on through with 31 Amigurumi for October! :D

Zombie Moon Bun

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm a full on zombie freak. I love the classic movies best, but there is nothing better than curling up with a good zombie flick. Needless to say, I've crafted several Zombie Moon Buns over the year (infact all the Moon Buns, except 3, I sold at AWA were zombies) so I couldn't rightfully leave my classic Zombie out of the 31 Amigurumi for October. Personally I found these photos hilarious, because I was being attacked by mosquitoes while trying to take photos. I think they kinda make it look like I'm being attacked by the Zombie Moon Bun. XD

PS. Happy October 6th!

Robot Moon Bun

Happy October 5th!

Still chugging away on my 31 Amigurumi for October. Originially I made this little guy without the gauge and buttons, because i was aiming for the look from Metropolis. I changed this after Mr. Moon pointed out that it looked like the silver surfer. :( So on went the buttons. I think it looks better though, so thumbs up for Mr. Moon's suggestions.

Pumpkin Moon Bun

To celebrate Halloween, I'm creating 31 Halloween inspired Amigurumi for every day in October! Hooray for Halloween!

AWA and CCFA

I've been so busy I forgot to mention I was at Anime Week Atlanta this past weekend. A very dear friend of mine featured several of my Zombie Moon Buns at her art table and I was very fortunate to sell out of them. Unfortunately I forgot to take a single picture of my new designs. (d'oh!) This weekend I'll be working my fingers to the bone trying to make new stock for the store.

I'd also like to take a moment to feature my CCFA Awareness Moon Bun. This is a simple Sweet Moon Bun design in lilac. The price is slightly elevated to $10 per bunny, because all of the purchase price goes to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (http://www.ccfa.org/). Crohn's disease has effect so many people I love and this is a disease we must find a cure for.

To date, I've sold $40.00 worth and will be donating the money at the end of the year. If you have an extra $20.00 sitting around and would like that money to be put to a good cause and get a cute little bunny in the process, please stop by my store. Or better yet, make a direct donation to the CCFA!

Hogwarts Moon Buns

Ta da! A little set of Hogwarts inspired Moon Buns. They took me an entire week to make all four. (It was the itty bitty scarves.) I'm really happy with the outcome.

I didn't forget!

I've just been exteremely busy wth house hunting. I just can't find what I'm looking for. Of course I really can't afford what I 'd like, but that's enough about my personal life, let's get on to the amigurumi!

This was for a contest with Deviant Art's Cute Craft club. The theme is junk food. I'm sorta on a diet and at the tme couldn't think of anythng I craved more than french fries. It was a crazy thought that made me think of the unhappy burnt fry. But I think that fry is my favorite. So sad. Nobody loves the burnt fry.

This was for Cute Craft's theme: Back to School. It's named, Mr. Pencil Loves Miss Paper. The idea being that in this tech filled world, it's important to remember to use pencil and paper now and again. This piece was one of my favorites.

This is P.T. Stitchy, the mascot from Plush Team on Etsy. He's supposed to be a bear, but I don't think I quite captured bear wth with him. *sigh* I did have a lot of fun trying out something new and will definitely make another Stitchy in the future.

Forest Moon Buns!

Here they are! My pretty maids all in a row. I call them Forest Moon Buns, because they make me think of Moon Buns wandering through the forest.
I love the way they turned out, but I'm just not a brain for color coordination. I actually turned to my husband several times for color help.
My only sadness is how long it takes me to make them.
They are available now at http://moonscreations.etsy.com

Hooded Moon Bun

This little Moon Bun was part of an art trade with a friend. It was the first time I'd thought of clothing my Moon Buns.
I think she came out pretty darned cute. Had I only had the foresight to move that piece of grass in her face. *sigh* Oh well. I can tell people she's just munching on it.
Expect a slew of new hooded Moon Bun's to be cropping up at http://moonscreations.etsy.com very soon!
