AWA and CCFA

I've been so busy I forgot to mention I was at Anime Week Atlanta this past weekend. A very dear friend of mine featured several of my Zombie Moon Buns at her art table and I was very fortunate to sell out of them. Unfortunately I forgot to take a single picture of my new designs. (d'oh!) This weekend I'll be working my fingers to the bone trying to make new stock for the store.

I'd also like to take a moment to feature my CCFA Awareness Moon Bun. This is a simple Sweet Moon Bun design in lilac. The price is slightly elevated to $10 per bunny, because all of the purchase price goes to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (http://www.ccfa.org/). Crohn's disease has effect so many people I love and this is a disease we must find a cure for.

To date, I've sold $40.00 worth and will be donating the money at the end of the year. If you have an extra $20.00 sitting around and would like that money to be put to a good cause and get a cute little bunny in the process, please stop by my store. Or better yet, make a direct donation to the CCFA!

Hogwarts Moon Buns

Ta da! A little set of Hogwarts inspired Moon Buns. They took me an entire week to make all four. (It was the itty bitty scarves.) I'm really happy with the outcome.

I didn't forget!

I've just been exteremely busy wth house hunting. I just can't find what I'm looking for. Of course I really can't afford what I 'd like, but that's enough about my personal life, let's get on to the amigurumi!

This was for a contest with Deviant Art's Cute Craft club. The theme is junk food. I'm sorta on a diet and at the tme couldn't think of anythng I craved more than french fries. It was a crazy thought that made me think of the unhappy burnt fry. But I think that fry is my favorite. So sad. Nobody loves the burnt fry.

This was for Cute Craft's theme: Back to School. It's named, Mr. Pencil Loves Miss Paper. The idea being that in this tech filled world, it's important to remember to use pencil and paper now and again. This piece was one of my favorites.

This is P.T. Stitchy, the mascot from Plush Team on Etsy. He's supposed to be a bear, but I don't think I quite captured bear wth with him. *sigh* I did have a lot of fun trying out something new and will definitely make another Stitchy in the future.

Forest Moon Buns!

Here they are! My pretty maids all in a row. I call them Forest Moon Buns, because they make me think of Moon Buns wandering through the forest.
I love the way they turned out, but I'm just not a brain for color coordination. I actually turned to my husband several times for color help.
My only sadness is how long it takes me to make them.
They are available now at http://moonscreations.etsy.com

Hooded Moon Bun

This little Moon Bun was part of an art trade with a friend. It was the first time I'd thought of clothing my Moon Buns.
I think she came out pretty darned cute. Had I only had the foresight to move that piece of grass in her face. *sigh* Oh well. I can tell people she's just munching on it.
Expect a slew of new hooded Moon Bun's to be cropping up at http://moonscreations.etsy.com very soon!
